  4. Is access role-based? Operators, inspectors, and admins should see different things by default, not by custom configuration.
  5. What certifications back the hosted parts? For anything that is not on your hardware, ask about SOC 2 and ISO 27001 posture and where the infrastructure runs.
A vendor who answers these five questions in plain language is a partner. A vendor who answers with a security whitepaper and no specifics is telling you something too.
